Northern Region Chair Ellen Rollins is many things.
Mother. Historian. Community Activist. Program Development Clinician and Health Specialist.
Rollins is a student at San Jose City College, working on degrees in both Anthropology and Labor Studies. She is currently President of Phi Theta Kappa, the Beta Epsilon Nu Chapter on campus.
Rollins, a Licensed Vocational Nurse with a BA in Psychology, is "continuing my educational goals towards a PhD in Cultural Anthropology."
She is the California State and Reigon 8 Director for the National Association of Juneteeth Lineage (NAJL). She is also a founding member and Historian of the African American Heritage House Museum (AAHH) in San Jose.
"This year I will celebrate 30 years of community service with Santa Clara County residents, friends and family with pleasure," said Rollins. "Through continuing community health enhancement advocacy for consumers and workers of In Home Support Services SEIU Local 52, I touch the heart of community; the family."
Rollins looks forward to bringing her wealth of knowledge and experience to the Black Caucus membership.
